When our family first settled here in Victoria, it didn’t take long for Vancouver Island to completely capture our hearts. We fell head over heels for the mist-rolled coastlines, the towering rainforests, and the quiet, sun-drenched valleys. But more than anything, we fell in love with the people who shape the character of this place: the small-scale farmers, the passionate makers, and the independent artisans who pour their lives into creating something real.
We quickly realized that the true heartbeat of the West Coast isn't found on corporate supermarket shelves. It’s found in a jar of raw honey from a quiet apiary in Cedar, a hand-harvested pinch of sea salt from the shores of Sooke, and a velvety square of chocolate crafted right here in Victoria.
That is how Fat Squirrel Gifts was born, right at our family table.
